2nd movement (Mesto, rigido e cerimoniale) of György Ligeti’s Musica ricercata. Performed by Fredrik Ullén.
The first movement of Musica ricercata uses only 2 pitches, the second movement 3 pitches, and so forth until the 11th movement which uses all 12 pitches. Stanley Kubrick uses this movement in his final film Eyes Wide Shut.
